This summer, I had the opportunity to create eight impressionist chairs for a window display competition in downtown Chicago. The competition, co-sponsored by the Art Institute of Chicago and Oak Street Design,  was created to help build citywide excitement for the “Impressionism-Fashion and Modernity” exhibit at the Art Institute of Chicago. CHIARoScURO, one the galleries where I show my artwork, called me and asked me if I would be willing to help them create a stand-out window with unique, one-of-a-kind impressionist artwork. Here is a photo of their window display. There are four other chairs, besides these.
